Silkway Cargo Pvt Ltd was incorporated on 27th October 2018 as a freight forwarding focused company with a separate business entity that is part of Puwakaramba Group of Companies initiated by the founder himself as freight forwarding plays a major role in the industry of transportation & logistics.

At inception, Silkway cargo primary focus would be on handling parent company, Puwakaramba Group of Companies, on their general cargo importation (Ocean) through various origins. But having said that with the service levels & expertize in-house it will not be long that we enter the market as a fully-fledged freight forwarding company here in Sri Lanka. We do not aim to be on a list of top ten freight forwarders but we surely want to be amongst the most “preferred” freight forwarding choice of our clients in years to come. Our company name Silkway cargo was derived from the ancient network called the Silk Road where it was a trade route connection of the East & West in the lucrative trade in Silk. This was a tradition kept and it was a tradition of trust. We here at Silkway Cargo carry the same concept where freight forwarding will be a tradition of trust as maintained in the ancient of days but with our target customer in focus.
